The Bigger Picture: How does finance fit into the business?

It's more than just 'counting beans'. While overseeing profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheets is important, the role of the Woolworths finance team is much broader than this. Our finance team produces clear, concise financial and management information, upon which we make informed business decisions to drive our operations forward. As well as inputting into future strategies, the responsibilities of the finance team include measuring financial risk, appraising investment decisions and, of course, audit.

Where might I fit into the finance function?
