The Bigger Picture: How does property fit into the business?

Woolworths is huge. We have the biggest chain of general merchandise stores in the UK, with over 800 stores in the portfolio providing seven million square feet of retail sales area. We have an active and diverse refurbishment programme and an ambitious expansion programme for both Woolworths and Woolworths Out-of-Town stores. Finding and developing sites is key to helping us meet our corporate business objectives.

Where might I fit into the property function?

There are a variety of roles in the property function for talented individuals at all stages in their careers. These could be in our facilities team, working on store planning, or in our estates and acquisitions team.
